What about you guys? Looking at colleges? Applied to a college? Going to college right now?
Who knows, maybe some of us are interested in the same ones!
I personally like New Haven, Bellarmine, and Post (Not C.W. Post).

It helps when trying to transfer to a state university.

Don't stress over it, though. No matter where you end up, you'll wonder how you even considered going anywhere else. (And if not, you can always transfer.)

EDIT:
@Ophion: I disagree. I only applied to 2, and only after deciding that I would love going to either. I visited both extensively and talked to various people about them before making a decision. Personally, visiting the campus and seeing the town is probably the best way of knowing whether or not the college is for you.

GPoints: 21 Rep Power: 1 | I agree that it's important to tour campuses and talk to students - and maybe a good idea to visit a couple schools if there are any near you - but I still think it's better, in general, to wait and see where you get in first.
You were lucky to get into one or both of the schools that you applied to. In my graduating class, I think most students applied to an average of 9 schools. One friend of mine, who was particularly crazy, applied to 16 (and not because his SAT's were bad; he ended up going to an Ivy League). Since most schools accept the common app, it's really only a bit more work to apply to a bunch and then narrow it down from there.

Iowa didn't require any essays - only test scores and a class ranking, and NYU didn't really have a difficult app. I considered others, but figured that even if I got accepted, I wouldn't go. But yeah; like, it's good to apply a lot, but I still think impressions after a visit should be a determining factor in where you actually apply. 'Specially if you're lazy, like me. xD

GPoints: 21 Rep Power: 1 | If you got into NYU, I'm going to hate you on principle. XD That was my first choice, and one of the only ones I got rejected from (Penn was the other).
Then again, I probably should have started my applications earlier. I was planning to take a year off and apply the following year; however, I received some last-minute advice telling me to apply and then defer. So, I only had like two days. I was literally finishing my applications on the way to the post office to mail them.
Good times. | |

I'm an athlete, so I've been looking at Division II schools. My parents don't want me to knock Divison I schools (for amazing athletes), but I figure I'm better suited for a Division II college, since well, I'm kind of lazy.
Plus, since I aspire to play softball in college, I have to play somewhere that's decently warm. This is a problem because my parents wanted me to go to a SUNY school (NY state colleges) and they're all upstate, where it is, for the better part of year, cold and snowy. I did really like a collelge up there though, Skidmore (great for psychology), but, alas, couldn't play softball.

GPoints: 1,946 Rep Power: 9 | I'm thinking of staying in California for college so that when I get my licensure it can be used anywhere, (a nursing license in California is the hardest to get, so its effective in every state as opposed to a license obtained in say... Ohio.)
That means I'm going to a CSU that offers what I need and is in a good area. So far I've narrowed it down to SFSU, SDSU, UCLA, CSULA, and CSUCI.
