Do You Brush Your Teeth Before or After?

After reading this...

How many times per day do you brush your pearly whites?

...and hearing my brother's girlfriend go "eewwww" when she found out that my brother brushes his teeth after breakfast...I got curious.

So.

Do you brush you teeth before you eat breakfast, after you eat breakfast, or before and after?

I brush my teeth after I eat because 1. The juice I drink is orange/mango/banana and such, and citrus fruits kill bad breath so it isn't like I am eating morning breath and 2. I have eggs and I hate having my breath smell eggy afterwards and it leaves a weird taste in my mouth.

Plus, the sugar from the juice and film from the eggs makes my mouth all yucky. So I brush after I eat.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Plus the toothpaste+juice combo burns my mouth lul...

The juice takes care of morning mouth because of the citrus in it.
Citrus fruit, or any juicy fruit really, kills bad breath/morning mouth.

I agree with lynn. :/ It makes my food taste strange and drinking, for some reason, hurts.
So, yeah, I brush my teeth after I eat most of the time. x3

i have an aunt who, when i was little and i stayed at her house now and then, insisted that i brush before breakfast. i always thought it was really weird. yeah maybe you have whatever sleeping shit in your mouth, but if you don't brush after, you'll have crap all over your teeth anyway.

might as well do it after, that way you can get the sleeping crud AND whatever you ate for breakfast off. or you could brush before AND after if you're thooper theriouth.

I'll be damned if I'm making two trips up/down the stairs in the morning.

Brush first, with toothpaste, then with just water so I can get that nasty toothpaste taste out of my mouth.

Then, I drink water, and it's usually a while before I eat anyways. lol.

I brush after. I brush and flouride at night before bed so morning breath is minimal.
