Formal Dresses

^^ Today I went looking for my formal dress for next month.

Yes, I did quit school, I have a lovely job now and it's great. But I was invited to go to my school formal and I even have a date -gigglesnort-

I was wondering what other people wore to their formal/graduation and what kind you could see yourself in.

I currently don't have any pictures of what mine is yet, but I'll upload them shortly.

So show me your dresses.

What school did you quit? education is very important for money. Also was it a cheap dress? Why don't you work and educate at the same time? that will bring in loads of money

i dont wear dresses because other people thinks it weird for a guy to wear dresses. but if i would wear one it would be pink. also pink heels to match.

I quit at year 12... which here is your very last year of high school until you go to uni... I think I'll be going to study at TAFE later on... But for now I like working where I am. It's really good pay.

Oh, my mum bought it for a little under $200... I think it was like $175 (AUS of course) and she also got my sister her year 10 formal dress for about the same amount :o

It sucks for her that she has to put up with two formals in one year xD

I'd wear a skirt, forget dressed, be different, go against the norm, it confuses people and makes jaws drop.

Also, I never went to formal/graduation blah blah blah because I'm a winrar.

You didn't get a date didn't you? :P

There are a few girls that "go against the norm" but it's going to be my only formal in my life, I want to go all out and do the "formal thing". Shiny dress, lots of jewelry and I've even arranged to have the whole spa treatment a few days before the formal and get myself prettied up xD

Nah I went to a "special" school on college grounds to graduate early, we didn't have formal stuff.

Is it like a prom for graduation? Or just a formal dance event?
I think it's more common now to wear dresses that are knee-length.
I remember people used to wear long dresses in the past but at my prom, most of them wore knee-length dresses so I think you should go for knee-length too.

I just went dress shopping today with my mom and my sister for my cousin's wedding. I got an awesome dress that I'll probably take pictures of eventually, and my mom got a beautiful evening gown.

I got mine that goes to my ankles... like I said, I want to go all out and do this the ol' fashion way. It's fun.

But I wore a knee length dress for my year 10 formal/prom/graduation... my legs are just not meant to be shown xD

She's from Canada, eh? Also you should wear just strips of cloth over your no no spots, make a statement, go out with a bang!
