Lately, I've been someone shocked about the gas prices in the U.S. Has anyone noticed the changes?
I recently heard on the news that the prices have DROPPED by a record high amount (after a massive rise in prices). Oil per barrel has dropped by like $15 or so; but, prices where I live have not changed significantly. We're still at around $4.61 per gallon.
I used to be able to fill up my tank for less than 50 bucks...but now...it's like close to $80. It's bogus I say.
I personally believe that the price rise is probably attributed to some sort of act of retaliation against the US invasion of the Middle East countries. Perhaps, OPEC is retaliating....
Gawd....U.S economy is deeper in the dumps now....it's possible that Bush's escapades into the middle east have negatively affected us.
Edit: Current price where I am is at $4.27/gallon. Still a heavy price.

GPoints: 1,213 Rep Power: 4 | Mine takes about $50, but I haven't filled up in awhile. I started walking everywhere. Gas here tends to be about $4.10 give or take 15 cents. Plus most of the stations around are charging about 10 cents more per gallon to use a credit/debit card. | |
