I'm sorry Kaos

Some of you I have already briefly told about this.

Anyway, if you've been trading with me, you've probably heard that I've cut my business down due to Chargebacks. They're worth about 400$ and it was Kaos who chargebacked me. The money was from when we were partnering and he was just sending me half. Kaos is making these chargebacks from a closed pp, the intention is solely to damage me, and not to make personal profit.

He sent it back now, though. All is well

How did this happen? Well, it all started friday or thursday I'm not sure but it's not that important. Basically Kaos and I were talking about my neopoint thread and how my wording was open for misunderstandings. I told him I would change it, which I did, but somehow we got from that topic to me selling neopoints. He asked me who I was partnering with, and I told him that my partner had not asked me to tell him. He then asked me if it was frank (name replaced for sake of partner) and I said no. A day later, he IMed saying that I lied to him. I admitted that I did but did not feel guilty about it. Eventually he told me he had information about my partner and my sources (again, being vague because of secrecy, it's not that relevant to the story) and since this information was supposed to be a secret, I was trying to get him to tell me where he got it. He told me he couldn't tell me, and I got pretty angry at him and got in a fight with him, being pretty rude. He eventually told me that he knew the secret, which just basically made everything worse. At the end I told him that I would not partner with him, but reassured him that would not ban him either. (This was meant to convey that I wouldn't drag my power into it, but he apparently misinterpreted this as me thinking I was doing him a favor)

The next day I had found out that my picture was posted on GG, which I was pretty sure was kaos doing. I was then also informed that kaos had told someone that I was a scammer and had scammed kaos out of more than 1000$ and that kaos was trying to get my pp shut down by calling and complaining.
I banned him deciding to talk to him about it and come to an agreement (this was before I found out he called paypal, though that did not change much), so I could, if he was willing to settle this peacefully, unban him.
I was at this point already receiving criticism for my decision, but to make sure I was not being irrational, I asked two mods before banning him.
Kaos never came online to talk to me, but the next day he CB'd me by about 300$ and then a few days later another 100$. (Because of me banning him, which he perceived as an unfair ban)

But the story goes back further, Kaos wouldn't do all this because of a little fight that got out of hand. I guess there was more tension between the two of us than I realized, but basically what happened was this:

A few months ago, back in september, I was talking to this benjamin kid. He was trying to buy a large sum of list. He sent two payments (from which I didn't realize at the time, different paypals) which both got cancelled. He assured me that this was just because of the echecks and him not having enough money on his credit card. Eventually he found a third paypal (I guess) and said he was ready to trade with me. I had found lmposibles thread about him being a scammer at the time (though it was just a suspicion if I remember correctly). He explained to me that when he was willing to let imposible on his paypal, he was joking and that it was all a big fuss over nothing. There was really not that much evidence the guy was a scammer (except the payments which I stupidly disregarded). I asked kaos what to do, who said I should just take the risk as I had nothing to lose (I didn't inform him about the payments as I didn't think they were that significant, which is kind of retarded looking back. This is incidentally right before I became more careful about being scammed, making everyone pm their paypals and only trading with people with an itrader of at least 6). Kaos advised me to take the chance as I did not have anything but list to lose, and I asked him to accept and relay the money to me, because you can't gift to german paypals, and I wanted to lessen the chance of getting scammed. Kaos agreed, and benjamin sent the money. Soon enough it got chargebacked. This was no tragedy at that point, I just refunded kaos the 180$ and thought we would be done with it. Unfortunately, the payment somehow caused the retarded paypal people to close chases account, take the 180$ which were already on his paypal out of his bank account anyway. Kaos ended up in the negatives and somehow lost over 1000$ thanks to that (he never explained the exact circumstances, I assume it was fees). I felt very guilty about it at the time and tried to find a solution. Kaos would always get limited so I suggested that I juts accept the money to my paypal and buy him stuff off ebay from his share. He eventually decided to just fuck it and move on to np sales. This left kaos pretty angry at me and is pretty much the trigger of it all.

So yeah, there you have it.

wow..This is quite of a situation your in. I empathize for you being caught up in all this. This is why I choose not to associate friends or the internet into financial dealings. It's too much of a headache and the risk is too great. Poor Kaos Being out of $1000 and Being banned.. I don't condone how he reacted to everything but that is unlucky.

This is a really noble thing, what R just did. To publicly say sorry, overcoming pride is a huge thing.
