Swineflu. Let's chat about it.

What are all your concerns about the seasonal, or in more depth, swineflu? I for one am a little bit nervous. I'm the one that always gets sick, and I JUST got over being sick with a nasty cold.

There were about 300 kids from my high school out today, about 10 with the actual swineflu. And many other with the seasonal flu.

I've been taking many precautions so I don't get it, as I don't want to bring the germs home to my brand new baby sister (6 months old).

What do you all think of it?

I'm not concerned with it. I'd probably take the day off though and take advantage of it if I were in school. I use hand sanitizers and wash my hands often so I don't believe I'll have it this year.

I think only one person at my high school had/has Swineflu. I'm pretty sure she is back at school now and fine. I'm sick right now, But I doubt its swine (AKA H1N1 :o) But if you don't hear from me in the next few days, you'll know why. Dun dun dun!!!

The h1n1 virus was engineered and released by Novavax.

It's a combination virus. It was bred to increase stock shares and vaccination stockpiles. It's relatively mild and deaths related to it are from complications, not a direct cause.

Oh yeah, wash your damn hands and you'll be fine.

My housemate got it, or something equally horrible, we had an ambulance out for her but she is now only mildly ill and none of us have caught it. I'm not afraid of getting it buy my boyfriend has asthma and a physical phobia of needles (so difficult to get vaccine) so I'm more afraid of giving it to him. I never get ill touchwood so I wouldn't mind something strong attacking me so I can fight it off!
