I want to program hack for neopets, so what do I need to learn?

If you want you can start out simple with Visual Basic 6. Really easy to get into.

As far as actual programming, Visual Basic is probably the easiest to learn due to the user friendly environment. Although personally, I'd try to pirate Visual Studio 2008 if I were you. I've just always found it better than VB6.

If you want to learn scripting, which personally I wouldn't suggest, I would go with either Javascript of PHP, but note that these are harder to learn than Visual Basic.

As a programmer I suggest you learn the basics of the language you want to master. If you jump straight into internet programming, seriously, I've seen so many people do it and ask me the stupidest questions cause they never learned the basics. I guess thats the best advice. LEARN THE BASICS lol. Anyway...

If I were you I would stick to errr.. similar syntax's. Example.

PHP, C++, and a few others have similar syntax's unlike VB6 which is totally different. Its said vb teaches you bad programming habits but I found that to be untrue.

My suggestion:

If you want an easy programming language, and you only want to make gaming site bots... got with vb6, its the easiest and there are so many guides if you fail you must be a moron.
