javascript and PHP are the most common scripting languages, so he's probably talking about one of those

JS, PHP, ASP, ADO are pretty common. It entirely depends on what you're trying to do, but they're all pretty widely used.

Hello there, Google Alerts brought me here

An update of the last URL (under QBASIC) from

http://doorknobsoft.tripod.com/qbasic_tutorial.html

to

http://doorknobsoft.com/tutorial/programming-in-qbasic/

Would be appreciated

Also, another tutorial on the same site you may want to consider for inclusion in the ASM section:

ASM Tutorial: Learning Assembly

These tutorials have been linked on many such lists on forums over the years and I'd like to make sure the URL is current whenever possible I moved the site from tripod at least 5 years ago, to another host, then to the current domain in 2004
