Getting Rid of Firefox 3.0 Built-In Virus Scanner

Ever treid downlaoding something but firefox tells you tis bad, when you are sure its safe? Well finally you can get rid of this annoying thing!

1. In the URL box type: about:config

2. Click on: I’ll be careful, I promise! button, it should now open all the values and shit.

3. In the filter search box type: scanwhendone. It’ll show only 1 entry: “browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone”. Double Click on it, and you will see the value change to: False

4. Restart firefox

There now you should be able to download the things you wanted.
I only recommend turning this off for each file you are aware is not bad
and giving you the error and immediately turning it back on when you are done.

NOTE: This may not fix the problem, but did for most people. For some reason, it hates me xD But it should work for you. If not, then I have no idea yet, still trying ;-;
