Is your computer slow? Ever want to throw it off a 10 story...
no wait...
An 80 story building? Well this guide may be the guide for you.
If you are one of those teens, or grown-ups who have a
windows XP and it is
slower than fuck... This is what you do:
Go to: your control panel.
Once there go to
appearance and themes, then go to
change computers theme.
Change your theme to
windows classic, through if you like the looks stay with the regular one.
When choosing a desktop background, choosing a standard color takes less to process than an actual image as a background, but doesn't make that big of a difference. So choose either a basic colored background or an image.
When choosing a screen saver, choose none for the best performance.
Change the appearance of the theme (windows classic or windows standard) to what ever you want.
Next, Go to Run, should be on your start menu.
Type in :
msconfig
Go to the start-up tab.
Choose what items you would like to have load at start-up.
Most files can still be accessed even if not loaded at start-up.
(Use at your own risk, not responsible if you accidentally fuck something up.) Services:
Some of these you do not need, and some you do.
Most / All of the Microsoft ones you need to keep just incase.
I took some off like micro soft media party mode thing.
I also took some unknown ones off, but only take these off / uncheck them if you know what you are doing / have someone to help you.
Do not mess with the following:
General, System.ini, Win.ini, boot.ini on the tabs.
-Thanks to Doctor for showing me the MSConfig shit.-
