Speed up mozilla firefox

This is pretty easy, and it should speed up mozilla firefox.

1. First you type in about:config into your browser, and go to it.

2. next you scroll down until you see: network.http.pipelining, network.http.pipelining.maxrequests, and network.http.proxy.pipelining.

3. After that, you change network.http.pipelining to true (by double clicking it)

4. Then you change network.http.pipelining.maxrequests from 4, to 100.

5 Finally you find, and change network.http.proxy.pipelining to true.

Now you should Have a faster firefox! Don't need to give me credit, I originally found this on www.i-hacked.com, and noticed no one posted it yet, so I thought I would post it on here.

Re: Speed up mozilla firefox

100 would be for 10mbit+.

Here's a few more realistic ones:
512kb: 8
1024kb: 16
2048kb: 32
4mbit: 40
6mbit: 45
8: 50
10: 60

Having it too high can actually decrease performance along with raping the servers you connect to.

Re: Speed up mozilla firefox

heh, I didnt really know how it worked or anything. Like I said, I got it off i-hacked.com. I noticed after awhile it gets pretty slow, so I have it set to 40.

Re: Speed up mozilla firefox

Not that I know of, besides what gommle said; May slow down system performance, and can hurt the servers you connect too. But thats if you make it too high im pretty sure.
