Throwing daggers?? Help!

Well, I am finally able to pick up WoW again after about a year on hiatus. I have a rogue that I am trying to play again, but I can't use the throwing daggers. I have the icon on my action bar as number 4, but when I hit it (with target selected), a number 2 pops up on the icon, but it won't throw the weapon.

I would take a screenie, but I'm on my brother's computer and he doesn't have anything I can manipulate photos with.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I don't know.

Anyone have any ideas?

Are you wielding daggers in your Ranged slot?
Press "C" and in the ranged slot at the bottom check there is throwing daggers in there.
You don't throw Main/Off-Hand daggers.
