What do you mean by good items? If you mean like epics, then I raided for mine.

Farming is playing honestly. I don't know what you're talking about.
If you mean botting, no I never botted. But I farmed essence of air's to buy my epic mount last year, And I raied for my epics. Never got to 70 on my account on Live. Got bored with it. Got to 70 a few times in beta though.

Money and items comes from Quests mostly. But recently I have been farming alot. I found 4 epics and alot of green items to sell on AH.

if you mean items, i farm for items / echanting supplies, then sell it 1-2s under the lowest market price. well that was when i played retail 8)

If you mean leet purple and orange items, then it's all about raiding and pvping. Depend on guilds, it can range anywhere from 1 day/week for amateur raiding guild to 7 days/week for the more hardcore guilds. Beside raiding you can also get some other good items from pvping, although pvp items are somewhat lower than pve items in my opinion. Even from the pre-BC time, pve sets always seem to be better than pvp sets. I used to have a Grand Marshal hunter (rank 14 in the old system), but I used the crossbow from BWL instead of GM crossbow.

Yeah and of course if you mean good items as of sell-able stuffs than it's nothing but grinding mobs. Either do it manually or using automate programs to do it for you. I just hate grinding ~
