okay so i've got access to someones email and i noticed they have mail from guildwars and they done a password recovery too :3

i went to the guildwars site but i could not find anywhere to log into so i'm assuming you can only login through the client?

and does it have a security question like WoW? they had a WoW email and i tried to recover the password but i got hit with a security question and telephone number so i gave up on that.

you can only change that stuff by calling them, theres no login of any sort that allows me to change them myself?

or did you read my thread completely wrong

I play it, but i've never changed my password. Theres a link ingame where you can change your pass. Only way to login to that acc is in the game client. If you can, ask a mate for his cds and cdkey.

i rarely play core if you get me the pass and email i can log in and tell you if there is anything good we can chat through yahoomessenger while i do it

Hmm.. I just started playing GW again yesterday and had forgotten my PW and had the same problem. (I ended up guessing it). Basically, what you do is log in with your e-mail and password on the game client. In the game client there's a link for lost pw.

I duno, personally, I think the GW website setup is retarded because they have no section for game support pretty much. (Or its setup so badly that I can't find it)

You just download the game at Guildwars.com

& Log in with the new Password.

Then go Change the Email & Password to yours.

Yeah, you can just download the client from the Guildwars website and log in from there. Some accounts can be linked to PlayNC, which will make it harder for you to change the password once you get into the account. To even change the pw, you'll have to get their plaync login and password as well. I guess if they used the same email for both GW and PlayNC, it wouldn't be very hard, though.
