So I thought GuildWars was a free game after you initially bought the cd...but now I heard that to play totally for free you cannot customize your own character....is that true??

I know, you're not the only one who was thrown for a "loop" by what he said. Seeing as my friend is a pretty clear cut guy, I realized I never asked him if he knew that from playing or if he also had just heard of it. I'll see if I can't set the record straight with him and let you all know!
So you DO have to pay for stuff, just like Flyff and all those other games. There is an expansion set for September or August that allows character creation, but as of right now you cannot create your own characters...how sad is that? It's a glorified Maplestory! I am sad now.

GPoints: 0 Rep Power: 5 | i dont get it.. my uncle plays it all the time and hes never said anything about paying to costimize your charater.. you choose who you want to be in the beging and work your up,you get gold in that game and you pay for stuff that way.

Okay, you know how in games like Flyff you can get premium equipments and such? Well to get premium equipments to make your character not be like everyone elses you either pay for it, which is kinda expensive, or you kill monsters for around 20 gold until you get one million gold....that is what I found out from the guys at the game store who all play the game.

GPoints: 1 Rep Power: 6 | When you buy the Guild wars Pack, you need the Cd Key to create an account. After that its free unless you choose to buy the other expansions. Either Factions, Nightfall or Prophecies( Depends which one you get first ). There is no monthly payment and you cant buy premium items to look different. You cant use real money to get anything inside the game. There are only few sets of armour available for each class. The only way to get armour is to craft it, buy it in game or pick it up from monsters. If you create a PvP character, you can customize him/her for free.
