GPoints: 1,125 Rep Power: 4 | Just graduated in May myself. Never could get around the downloading blocks. I didn't really know about rapidshare and the like back then, so those might have worked, but I basically just kept changing programs till they blocked me out of all the ones I knew bittorrent, DC++, limewire, soulseek, I'm sure there were a couple more too. Make friends off campus , it will be useful lol.

but several guy-friends of mine managed to get their own private interwebs.
Of course they shared it between the four of them.
Ask your dorm head?
dorm life wears off after the first few months,
and then it sucks!
I personally avoided the fiasco all together,
and choose to stay at home.
Elevators are always breaking,
(if your dorms have them)
People are always blaring music of some kind,
(mostly rap, ick)
and then there's that freshman 15.
gl on your first year?
what are you looking to major in?

GPoints: 1,125 Rep Power: 4 | I enjoyed dorm life much better than I would have if I had lived at home. (I couldn't live at home and go to the school I went to at the same time anyway). Though I probably would have moved out as an upperclassmen, part of my scholarship went towards dorm housing...so I stayed. There are some sucky things. Broken elevators if you have them yes (though we almost ALWAYS had one of them working in my freshman dorm due to having 8 floors, the other dorms didn't have elevators), dumb drunk people, loud music, communal bathrooms (my least favorite), yes yes. However, generally upperclassmen dorms become better and better (junior and senior year, I lived in an apartment dorm on campus with 3 other friends and sophomore year I live in a suite style dorm--4 rooms, 2 people each, one double bathroom). And it was really nice being sort of independent and being able to do what I wanted without my parents around to watch over me and tell me no.

First offense, you lose net for the semester. Second offense, you lose net FOR EVER. Quote:

what are you looking to major in? | I dunno, maybe I will try. Our dorm life is pretty sick really, I'm in a suite of rooms on the ground floor, its sick. Music is a non-issue, strictly enforced study hours.
Thanks for the Luck. Quote:
