Grammatical/Punctuational Ignorance Anyone?

Is anyone else amazed by the number of people who don't seem to grasp proper grammar, or for that matter punctuation? I mean really, when to use an apostrophe and when not to is one of the simplest things in the punctuational rules. (note: rules not rule's) And yet, without fail, people use apostrophes to pluralize words (words not word's) when they shouldn't. Why is it hard to understand that apostrophes are only used to pluralize lowercase letters. For example: "The word antidisestablishmentarianism has too many i's." Note the apostrophe. Improper use: "The car's on the road all have tire's." It bugs me, do people just have something against learning how to type, hell write, properly? UGH! And grammar? Oh lord, don't get me started.

There might be some users that are not english native speakers... Just like me... I mean, I wouldn't expect for you to have an excellent spanish grammar if you post in a spanish forum...

I using proper spelling and grammar most of the time. When it comes to punctuation, I fail. I probably just put that comma in the wrong place?
This is a forum though, so I don't think it matters much if people use correct grammar, and punctuality all the time.

Yeah, improper grammar really ticks me off as well. I mean, I can understand making a few mistakes, or in the case of typos, since we all make them. But when every single word is misspelled and you can barely comprehend the fact that the sentence is supposed to be in English, it's ridiculous.

Also, the whole not understanding the difference between "its" and "it's" gets to me. I don't see why people can't just stop and think "well, 'it's' is 'it is', so 'its' must be possessive." But maybe that's just me.

How about people stop bitching that everyone is not perfect as you? Honestly, why do you even give a fuck if people don't type correctly all the time? It's a forum, not school. Yeah I try to type correctly but like everyone I'll make mistakes and I'm not going to spend a great deal of effort to proof read all posts. When firefox underlines a word in red I'll correct it but for grammar, fuck it. And if people type like that killer oreo person, just fucking ignore it instead of bitching all over the place (not directed at anyone specifically, in general).

The apostrophe thing really bugs me. Plurality is not a hard concept, it doesn't really even fall in with grammar because it is THAT fucking simple. Proper punctuation and grammar isn't perfection, its called giving a shit. Wow, so it only matters if I am getting graded on it. You tell your boss that, see how long you keep your job.

I am ranting in general about people on the internet in general. Non-native speakers have an excuse but there are thousands of americans who have none.

Putting people down and making them feel small just because they don't know the little things isn't fair.

I'm dyslexic and i know how hard it is to get things right all the time.

Chatspeak is not acceptable, people who have problems or did not have much of an education should be let go.

I'm not really a big grammer/spelling person... I mean, if I'm on Gaia, and someone actually uses proper grammer and spelling, sure, it makes me want to talk to them a little more... but I'm not like, "Oh, you've just lowercased a t when that should have been uppercase. You fail."
I mean, I might leave if they seem like an all around boring person, but I don't scream to them that the 'shift bar is right there.'
Just my opinion :/

I accept dyslexia, but unless 90% of internet users have dyslexia its not an explanation for all of this. Also don't act like you have no choice in the matter, I have two friends with dyslexia that simply refuse to let it be an issue and work hard making sure they keep their mistakes to a minimum. They don't fully kick it but simply checking on what they say eliminates over 95% of it. Just a simple re-read. *shrug*
