The price does go down on any console after a certain period of time, and the reason being that they come out with new ones which they charge an arm and a leg for. But yes, I do expect it to go down and expect that it will, like everything else. It is just what happens. However, if things keep going with the economy the way that it is, then you never know they might keep it at a high price.

prices drop, particularly before a newer console release or a different model release of the same console. they've done so many hardware model changes that i doubt they're doing any more, putting more memory in the damn thing would be absurd.

but price drops are just part of sales. when demand is high, you can charge more. when demand dies down, you have to lower the price to move the units.
