Science Competition

Well as usual, my smart self decided to wait until the last minute and I've been doing my project since yesterday and the project is due Wednesday. Everyone who's in a science class, are pretty much forced to compete in this, it's a large chunk of our grade. Anyways, this year, I decided to do the Build A Brain project, where I have to make up an imaginary animal, create a brain, write a three page paper about it, and create a poster. It's harder than it looks okay.... @_@

So anyways, I just thought of a name for my animal and its called the Cazadorino, the name "Cazadoro" is spanish for hunter. If I can somehow find a way to upload my sketch online, I'll do it.

Is anyone else in some sort of science competition?

I used to have to compete in one of those every year since I was in kindergarten up to 7th grade ( would have been more but I left the school) Since I'm in college I don't think it's a requirement.

Oh lord. I haven't done a science fair since elementary school- thank GOD.

We had to do one every single year, kindergarten through sixth. I hated it, it was Hell.

Thats pretty cool, did you win any?

For the past two years, I made my own battery and that was probably the easiest thing. Damn rules say you can't do something more than twice. Ugh....

Battery..like..potato battery lol? I think I won one, it had to do with mothballs and floating them, I also got 2nd for seeing if alka seltzer would fizz in various liquids like milk (it curdles) tomato juice (just sinks) oil (sinks) gas (fizzes a little) and honey (sits at the top lol).

I only ever had to do a science fair project once. I had no idea what to do, and the teacher wouldn't really explain (this was in high school, and all the other kids had done them since they were very young, but I went to a private school). It turned out pretty sucky.

We weren't allowed to use like lemons, potatoes, or any other source of food. Lemon Juice was allowed, but that was like the only food like product were allowed to use, I think.

We did something similar to the alka seltzer, but we had to make like a device and it had to peform an action and the only way to start it was using alka seltzer and water.

When I did the milk one, I was stupid and left it to fizz, it didn't do anything immediately so I thought it was done, so I walked away, when i came back it looked like on of those snake fireworks that grow except white and made of milk.
