Why am I so late in finding out how awesome someone is? Marilyn manson for start.

At first I thought basically what everyone said of him. Some evil crazy dude. Whatever, I didn't like that type of music anyways.

So turned out I liked a couple of his songs...I ended up buying the CD "Golden age of grotesque" for the song "This is the new shit" and "Tainted love". I thought this would be like any other CD, I listen to it, and pretty much hate it except for the songs I bought it for. (*cough* paparoach)

Ended up liking not only the tune, but the lyrics to almost the whole CD.

Figured I should know about who I'm listening to. Some freak? idk. I youtube some interviews.... Have you ever seen the interviews from him? If you don't listen to him, and you see him in an interview, he is nothing like what you would expect. He's so oddly normal that it's creepy.

Well, even finding out that he's just a normal guy in the music industry, I still thought that he probably did drugs for SURE. Well, that's what I get for judging. Find out he's actually clean. Did acid once, never wants to do it again. Macauley culkin bought him his first pack of cigarettes.

Also found out he's not only a musician/writer, he's also an artist. While reading one of his comments on one of his pieces, he mentioned how hard columbine was for him, with him being blamed for it and whatnot. I thought "Wtf? how can you blame him for what some kids did?" and googled more about it, and came across this-

^ My jaw dropped. So he's normal AND intellegint. Whod've guessed? Idk. I loved that article though. I have higher respect for him.

Why didn't I listen to his music before though? It's actually very upbeat, puts me in a good mood. o.0

If you like those songs I suggest looking at saint, I was going to suggest this is the new shit but it looks like you've already found it <3.
My friend also met him in real life and he was talking about how peoples mind works, like how people get please from pain.

Conservative parents, so really no wonder I didn't find him till after I moved out. xD

He has a new album out, "High end of Low", I haven't listened to much from it, just the song Arma-goddamn-motherfuckin-geddon. Very catchy. I might end up getting it. lol.

You know I used to think the same things, but then I think Johnny had me listen to one of his songs and I really liked it. So of course I downloaded a bunch of his stuff. Honestly, it was one of his music videos that had creeped me out in the first place to him when I was back in middle school. I don't know anything about him really, but I know very little about any celebrity so it's not really like he's special in that way. I just don't care about their lives or personalities, only about their work. Shrug.
